Preparing for a niece

This week my significant other and I found out that his brother and sister-in-law's baby, who will be born i June, is a girl. I don't have any siblings myself, so this is my only chance of being an aunt. I'm really excited about it! :)

Naturally, I had to stock up on pink yarn. 

 Yeah, doesn't look much like "stocked up", but believe me, I've got more!

I don't really have a plan for all of it. Truth is, most of what I make is pure luck. I just start something and in most cases, it ends up being something presentable.

First thing I'll make is a crocheted baby blanket. Stay tuned for results.

Mandatory first post

So.. lets get this over and done with: this is the first post, yay!
I had another crafts blog, but because I didn't use it for a while it got blocked and now I can't use it anymore, but that's ok because now I can start a new and hopefully better one.

This blog will concentrate on whatever I'm up to, crafts and DIY wise. Can't promise that everything will blow your mind, but what the hey, it's just a blog.

I have about thousand hobbies, including knitting, crocheting, tunisian crocheting, weaving, tatting, needlebinding, drawing, painting, jewelry making, sculpting, embroidery and sewing, to name a few. Out of breath, even if you read that quietly to yourself? Well, read the title of the blog again.
Crafts have always calmed me down after a long day at school or work, and it's always a nice distraction for a brain that won't shut up.

Currently I am working on a needle tatted collar for a top, I will take pictures of it when I can photograph in daylight(we don't have much of that here in Norway this time of year).
